A national contest for theatre teams of Uzbek state general schools, set up by Presidential Resolution PQ-399 of 22 November 2024. School teams compete in district, regional and national stages.
Presidential Resolution PQ-399 of 22 November 2024 orders that school theatre teams be created in state general secondary schools and that the “Turon” school theatre national contest be held among them. The same resolution plans the higher stages of the contest to be organised as a TV contest and TV show. In the 2026 district stage, teams took part in the “Bizning maktab” (Our school) introduction and question-and-answer round and the “Teatr – ibratxona” stage performance round, playing characters from works by enlighteners, great figures and writers. In Ellikqalʼa district, 18 school teams took part and the winners advanced to the next stage.
