The scheme recognises and promotes quality education among SC students beyond Class 12. It operates in institutions notified by the Ministry; fresh scholarships go only to first-year students, 30% of an institution's slots are reserved for SC girls, and no more than two siblings in a family can benefit. It continues until the course ends, subject to promotion.
