The Gujarat State Examination Board's selection exam for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship: Class 8 students of government and aided schools who qualify receive Rs 12,000 a year for Classes 9 to 12.
A state-level selection test run by the Gujarat State Examination Board for the Ministry of Education's NMMS scheme. Selected students in the district and category quotas (state quota 5,097 students) receive Rs 1,000 a month (Rs 12,000 a year) for four years, Classes 9 to 12, paid directly to their bank accounts through the National Scholarship Portal. The Board only conducts the exam; document verification and payment are handled through the portal.
