Tokyo Junior and Senior High School Students' Policy Participation Project 2027 (Chukosei Seisaku Kettei Sankaku Project)

About ten Tokyo junior high and high school students spend a summer discussing a Tokyo policy theme with a facilitator and present their proposal directly to the Governor of Tokyo.

Run by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government so that young people can discuss and propose children-related policies that are reflected in Tokyo's policy. Members work in groups with a dedicated facilitator, do fieldwork, exchange views with city officials at an interim report, and present a project proposal to the Governor. The FY2026 theme was welcoming tourists from around the world to an attractive Tokyo from a teenage perspective (FY2025: business and entrepreneurship). Participants receive a certificate on completion.
