The grant supports about one year at a regular overseas upper-secondary school (shorter stays considered roughly equivalent may qualify; ask in advance). Eligible costs include airfare, domestic transfers, airport taxes, visa and passport fees, tuition, insurance, boarding or homestay fees, or a programme fee from a study-abroad organisation. It can be combined with other support. Recipients submit a completion report with a 1,500-character essay within a month of returning.
