International Geography Olympiad (iGeo) 2027 – Uzbekistan Team

The annual world olympiad for the best 16-19-year-old geography students; iGeo 2027 takes place on 2-9 August 2027 in Jelgava, Latvia. Uzbekistan is on iGeo's list of countries with a national qualifying route and has taken part since 2025.

iGeo is held under the auspices of the International Geographical Union and organised by the IGU Olympiad Commission. The competition has a Written Response Test (40%), a Multimedia Test (20%) and a Fieldwork Exercise (40%), plus team poster presentations, cultural exchange and excursions. A country can send up to four students and two team leaders, and students may take part at most twice. Uzbekistan appears in iGeo's 'How to Qualify' country list, and the Science Olympiads Centre lists iGeo among the international olympiads Uzbekistan takes part in.
