The competition has a Written Response Test (40%), a Multimedia Test (20%) and a Fieldwork Exercise (40%), plus team poster presentations, cultural exchange and excursions. A country can send up to four students and two team leaders, and students may take part at most twice. Uzbekistan appears in iGeo's 'How to Qualify' country list, and the Science Olympiads Centre lists iGeo among the international olympiads Uzbekistan takes part in.
