Gujarat's Student Startup and Innovation Policy (SSIP 2.0) lets school students in Class 9 to 12 apply for up to Rs 20,000 per proof-of-concept or prototype, plus support for patents and other IP, through their school.
Under SSIP 2.0 (Education Department, Government of Gujarat), school students and dropouts can receive up to Rs 20,000 for each proof-of-concept, prototype or innovation, exposure to tinkering labs, innovation labs and incubation centres, sensitisation events and capacity building. IPR support is also provided: up to Rs 75,000 for a domestic patent (Rs 1.5 lakh for other countries), Rs 8,000 for copyright, Rs 12,500 for a trademark and Rs 9,000 for an industrial design, among others.
