DCON asks kosen students to create products, services and business plans using manufacturing (hardware) and deep learning. The first round is a document screen based on the idea; finalists must have a working demo. Prizes: 1st place ¥1,000,000 startup funding, 2nd ¥500,000, 3rd ¥300,000, plus ministerial and company awards; each finalist's school receives a ¥100,000 donation. Post-contest startup support is available via the DCON Startup fund.
