A business-creation contest where kosen teams combine hardware and deep learning into products that solve real problems, judged by venture capitalists with startup funding as prizes.

DCON asks kosen students to create products, services and business plans using manufacturing (hardware) and deep learning. The first round is a document screen based on the idea; finalists must have a working demo. Prizes: 1st place ¥1,000,000 startup funding, 2nd ¥500,000, 3rd ¥300,000, plus ministerial and company awards; each finalist's school receives a ¥100,000 donation. Post-contest startup support is available via the DCON Startup fund.
