A Bihar Government incentive for unmarried girls who passed the Intermediate (Class 12) examination; 2026 registration is open on the Medhasoft portal.
Under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana, the Mukhyamantri Balika (Intermediate pass) Protsahan Yojana pays unmarried girls who pass Intermediate or an equivalent examination of a board recognised by the Government of Bihar, to promote girls' education, curb child marriage and encourage self-reliance. The guideline notice on the portal (for the 2023 exam year) gave Rs 25,000 as a one-time DBT payment to the bank account; the 2026 amount is not stated on the pages checked.
