Under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana, the Mukhyamantri Balika (Intermediate pass) Protsahan Yojana pays unmarried girls who pass Intermediate or an equivalent examination of a board recognised by the Government of Bihar, to promote girls' education, curb child marriage and encourage self-reliance.
