Pre-Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Caste Students, Classes 9-10 (2026-27)
A centrally sponsored scholarship for Scheduled Caste students in Classes 9 and 10 whose parents earn up to Rs 2.5 lakh a year, paid as an annual academic allowance through the State/UT.

Component 1 of the Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC Students & Others (effective 2021-22) covers SC students studying full time in Classes 9 and 10 in recognised government or private schools. Component 2 covers children in Classes 1-10 whose parents are engaged in unclean or hazardous occupations (manual scavengers, tanners and flayers, waste pickers), with no income ceiling. The scheme is run by State/UT governments with central assistance.
