Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme for Wards of RPF/RPSF Personnel (Ministry of Railways) 2026-27
A Ministry of Railways scholarship for wards and widows of serving and ex-Railway Protection Force (RPF/RPSF) personnel who take up a professional degree after Class 12: Rs 3,000 a month for girls and Rs 2,500 a month for boys.

Introduced from 2008-09 under the Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme (National Defence Fund) to encourage higher technical and professional education among dependants of RPF/RPSF personnel below gazetted rank. 150 scholarships are earmarked each academic session, half of them for girls, distributed among Zonal Railways and the RPSF. Eligible courses include BE/B.Tech, MBBS, BDS, B.Ed, BBA, BCA, B.Pharma, MBA and MCA.
