Intelligent Science Lab ON Joint Inquiry National Contest 2027

Nationwide data-driven science inquiry contest: teacher-student teams collect and analyse real data on issues such as fine dust, carbon emissions, climate, heat islands, solar power and sound using the 'Intelligent Science Lab ON' platform.

Teams pick one of 21 tracks across 7 themes (fine dust, carbon emissions, climate, ecological maps, solar power, urban heat islands, sound) at a basic, advanced or free-inquiry level, and share data on the platform. Written judging covers the application, final report and the actual inquiry. In 2026, 58 teams received KOSAC Chair awards: grand prize (KRW 1,000,000 per team), top prize (KRW 500,000), excellence (KRW 300,000) and inquiry awards (gift vouchers); winners may present posters in December.
