A Ministry of Tribal Affairs scholarship that funds Scheduled Tribe students admitted after Class 12 to graduate courses in notified premier institutes, covering tuition, books and living support.
The National Scholarship component of the Central Sector scheme (guidelines 2021-22 to 2025-26) encourages meritorious ST students to study at graduate and postgraduate level in premier institutes notified by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs (252 institutions in the guidelines) in fields such as management, medicine, science, engineering, humanities, law and social science. All eligible students admitted on merit to these institutes can receive the scholarship, which continues until the course ends subject to satisfactory performance.
