Maharashtra Post-Matric Scholarship (Government of India scheme) for SC and Neo-Buddhist students, Class 11 onwards, 2026-27

Run by the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department. Eligible SC/Neo-Buddhist students receive a maintenance allowance for up to 10 months a year, by course group, plus tuition and examination fees; students with disabilities get additional allowances. Failing once still allows the exam fee and allowance; after two drops in the same class benefits stop until the student passes and moves up. Only two professional courses are allowed. The scheme covers all post-matric study, so Class 11-12 students are stored as grades 11-12.
