A highly selective 5.5-week residential research program pairing high-school students with University of Iowa faculty laboratories or research groups. Financial aid and scholarships are available.
Students complete a supervised project and present a poster. Published 2027 areas span biological and medical sciences, engineering, business analytics, sustainability, psychology and religious studies. Selection prioritizes essays, transcripts/test scores, recommendations and mentor fit. Staff arrange research placements; students and parents cannot supply their own lab match. The program must be the student’s only commitment for its full duration.
