The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education awards meritorious scholarships every year to 160 SSC and 160 HSSC students. Notified students submit an online application, and the 2026 list is not yet on the Board's page.
FBISE says it encourages outstanding students and publishes a notification on its website for the award of meritorious scholarships to 160 students at SSC level and 160 students at HSSC level every year. Since 2024 it has introduced online submission of meritorious applications on a web link conveyed to the notified students through WhatsApp or e-mail. The amount of the scholarship is paid annually. Lists of awardees are posted for each year, including a separate list for students of Gilgit-Baltistan.
