Bukhara State University runs a multi-stage olympiad (district/city - region - university) among final-year pupils of general secondary schools in mathematics, physics, informatics and information technologies, chemistry and biology. The final stage is held at the university. Pupils who take 1st-3rd place in the final stage are admitted to Bukhara State University without entrance exams; the 2026 announcement says the admission is on a 100% preferential basis. The university's English news page describes it as a three-tier olympiad for 11th-graders and academic lyceum graduates.
