University of Tokyo Satsukikai Scholarship (High-School Pre-approval Type, Women) - April 2027 Entry

Funded by the Satsukikai Scholarship Fund (Satsukikai is the association of UTokyo alumnae), the scholarship supports female students as part of UTokyo's goal of a 30% female ratio. From 2027 entry there are three types: Type A (income standard and living away from home, about 30 places), Type B (prefecture-designated places funded by donations, 3+ places) and Type C (no income standard, living away from home, about 30 places). Being a candidate does not guarantee admission. Scholars attend an annual Satsukikai interview.
