A research competition for high school students with water-related science projects: state winners advance to a U.S. national final and the national winner represents the U.S. at World Water Week in Stockholm.
Organized in the U.S. by the Water Environment Federation, the Stockholm Junior Water Prize recognizes research that improves water quality, water resources management or water and wastewater treatment, at local to global scale. Projects must use scientifically accepted methods, including statistical analysis, and are judged on relevance, creativity, methodology, subject knowledge, practical skills, and report and presentation, with the research paper weighted more heavily than the poster.
