A four-day residential research camp at RIKEN's Wako campus where a small group of high school students works with RIKEN researchers on real research and presents the results. The 2027 edition has not been announced yet.
RIKEN's hands-on research camp for high school students. In 2026 there were three courses of four students each: molecular control of life (Center for Sustainable Resource Science), computational modelling of crowd behaviour (Center for Brain Science, taught in English), and ultrafast laser nonlinear optics (Center for Advanced Photonics). The programme includes tours of the superconducting quantum computer and the HOKUSAI supercomputer, an exchange dinner with researchers and a final presentation with certificates.
