A Cabinet Office contest in which students and others analyse a Japanese region's issues with the RESAS/RAIDA data systems and propose a policy idea, with a separate High School and Under division.
Run by the Cabinet Office's Regional Revitalization Promotion Office with METI. Entrants choose a municipality or prefecture (or several), analyse its current situation and challenges using the Regional Economy Society Analyzing System (RESAS), RAIDA and other data, and propose a policy idea. Proposals are judged on data analysis, originality and feasibility. In each of the two divisions (High School and Under; University and General), one Minister for Regional Revitalization Award and two Excellence Awards are given (with supplementary prizes), plus sponsor awards and regional METI Bureau Director-General awards for each block.
