Six weeks of intensive mathematical exploration, proofs and number theory at Boston University for carefully selected students aged 14–18. Need-based aid is available.
PROMYS brings approximately 80 high-school students together with undergraduate counselors for sustained mathematical work. First-year students study number theory and exploration labs; returning students may take advanced seminars and mentored research. Participants construct arguments and solve demanding problems, rather than receive a guaranteed research publication. The 2027 residential session runs June 27–August 7.
