A one-day Japanese-language debate tournament run by four western branches of NADE, the body behind Debate Koshien, with a high school (A) and junior high (B) division. Kinki teams debate on site in Kyoto; teams from other western districts join online.
Motions: Division A (high school format) 'Japan should expand its acceptance of foreign workers'; Division B (junior high format) 'Japan should abolish all zoos'. Debates follow the official Debate Koshien rules and guidelines. Team awards (placings and branch chair awards) and individual Best Debater awards by speaking role. Junior high students may enter Division A and high school students Division B.
