The Manipur Directorate of Education (Schools) awards merit scholarships to top-ranked students of the HSSLC (Class XII) examination of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM), in Science, Arts and Commerce.
A State merit scholarship for Class XII passed students with top ranks in the COHSEM HSSLC examination. In 2025 the amount was Rs 12,000 per student per year for 300 students: 125 in Science (ranks 1-305), 125 in Arts (ranks 1-303) and 50 in Commerce (ranks 1-199). Eligible students are listed in an annexure and apply on the National Scholarship Portal.
