A free, multi-stage research program at Kanazawa University where high school and kosen students propose their own research theme, refine it into a plan with mentors, and may go on to research in a university lab.
Kanazawa University's STELLA Senior Course, run with JAIST, Ishikawa universities and Hokuriku education boards, develops future globally active researchers. In the C stage students take integrated, idea-generation and language courses and write a research plan; D1 students are assigned to university labs, present results and enter science contests; D2 students aim for paper submission or international conference presentations. C-stage completers become eligible for Kanazawa University's KUGS special admission.
