An annual research symposium run since 2003 by the Japan Society of Plasma Science and Nuclear Fusion Research, where high school and KOSEN (years 1-3) students present their own science research, in person at Nagoya University or online. Presentations on any science or technology topic are welcome, and outstanding oral and poster presentations receive awards.
The symposium gives students a chance to meet cutting-edge science and present research they carried out at school or during JSPF's summer plasma practicum at university labs across Japan. Topics are not limited to plasma or fusion: other science and technology fields are accepted. Presenters choose on-site oral presentation at Nagoya University (streamed on Zoom, optionally with a poster) or online oral presentation from their school. Presentations are judged, and JSPF presents awards for outstanding oral and poster presentations.
