Rehearse jazz in ensembles and combos, develop improvisation and perform with faculty musicians.
The two-week clinic includes daily large-ensemble and combo rehearsals, instrument instruction, masterclasses, music theory, arranging and improvisation. Faculty place students in ensembles based on audition and instrumentation. Guest artists and faculty play alongside students; the programme culminates in a student performance at Holmes Amphitheatre on July 10. Residential and day attendance share the course and audition process.
