Hawaiʻi's state-level National History Day contest, where students present original historical research on the 2027 theme "Innovation in History: Impact, Influence, Change" and compete for spots at the National Contest.
Working alone or in groups, students build a historical paper, exhibit, performance, documentary or website with a process paper and annotated bibliography, and are interviewed by judges. Top Senior Division entries advance to the National Contest at the University of Maryland, College Park, in June 2027.
