ESU Public Speaking Competition 2027-28

The largest public speaking competition for schools in England and Wales, for students in Years 9 to 11. The national winner represents England and Wales at the ESU International Public Speaking Competition.

Over 300 teams compete in a non-adversarial format in which a speaker from one school is paired with the chair and questioner from another. Students receive feedback from ESU judges, and the competition counts towards the skills section of the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
