The CCC is a school-supervised individual programming contest and the initial qualifier for the invitation-only Canadian Computing Olympiad (CCO) and Canadian Informatics Workshop (CIW). Choose Junior for beginner/intermediate or Senior for intermediate/advanced skills regardless of grade. Work online for three hours on five problems worth 75 points, using C, C++, Python 2/3 or Java; not every language can necessarily earn full marks. Senior official results may lead to CCO/CIW selection, mainly for students in Canada and outstanding Canadian citizens/permanent residents studying abroad, at CEMC discretion. Initial participation does not guarantee a later invitation or Canadian national-team place.
