Olimpiada · Yuzma-yuz
National astronomy and astrophysics olympiad by Astronomy.SG that selects Singapore's team for the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA).
Round 1 is a 2-hour computerised quiz of 50 multiple-choice questions, taken in your school or at a centralised testing facility. Round 2, by invitation, is a 4-hour test with short and long answers, data analysis, and practical and observational astronomy. The SAO is modelled on the IOAA syllabus; past papers and notes are free on Astronomy.SG. The 2026 edition had a record 262 participants, and the top five go to the IOAA.
