Olimpiada · Yuzma-yuz
Annual national biology olympiad for top junior-college biology students; medallists can be shortlisted, trained by NUS and NIE academics and selected for the International Biology Olympiad team.
Held every year since 2000. Several hundred students sit the initial theory test, several dozen are shortlisted for the practical test, and top performers across both rounds receive medals. Selected medallists are interviewed; a final shortlist goes through intensive training by NUS and NIE academics, and a 'Final Four' plus one reserve form Team Singapore for the IBO.
