Olimpiada · Yuzma-yuz
An annual biology contest for middle school students hosted by the Korean Biology Olympiad Committee (which trains Korea's IBO team) and the Korean Society of Biology Education, held at Seoul National University.
The contest aims to build interest in biology and find talented students. Questions follow primary and middle school life-science content (body systems, plants, photosynthesis and respiration, cell division, genetics, classification, ecosystems) and are reasoning-based: interpreting data, explaining phenomena and designing experiments, in calculation, short-answer and essay formats. Grand prize, gold, silver and bronze awards are given.
