India's national linguistics-puzzle competition for students in Grades 6-12, run by IIIT Hyderabad and partners to select the Indian team for the International Linguistics Olympiad (IOL 2027, Thailand).
PLO students solve self-contained language puzzles that build problem solving, computational thinking and appreciation of linguistic diversity. The best Round 1 performers are invited to a Round 2 camp in Hyderabad; the top 4 are selected as Team India 1 for the IOL. The organisers will try to cover or subsidise the team's IOL costs depending on sponsorship, which cannot be guaranteed.
