Uzbekistan's national admission test run by UzBMB, through which school leavers compete for state-grant (tuition-free) and paid-contract places at state universities.
UzBMB, the Agency for Assessment of Knowledge and Skills under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, runs the entrance tests for state higher education institutions. Since Presidential Decree PQ-5157 of 22 June 2021, applicants can set the state grant as their priority: choosing 'Davlat granti' means they compete first for grant places in all chosen programmes and then for contract places. Choosing 'Davlat granti va toʻlov-kontrakt' means they compete for grant and contract places in each programme in turn. The selection follows the strict order of programmes chosen by the applicant. The test fee was 206,000 UZS in 2026, but current-year graduates and several other groups are exempt.
