Al-Beruniy International Boarding School teaches pupils to international standards on the basis of the IB programme (IB subject group in English, general subjects in Uzbek). It admits 60 pupils a year who have completed 8th grade. The exam has two tracks (exact sciences and natural sciences): a screening test (English 25, mathematics or chemistry 20, physics or biology 15 questions), after which the top 600 take a written stage with English tests, a 15-minute interview, a 250-word essay and subject problems. In 2026 the first-stage results were published by Marshall Cavendish Education.
