The Embassy of Japan in Pakistan recommends Pakistani high school graduates for the Japanese Government (MEXT) undergraduate scholarship to study a Bachelor's degree in Japan. The call for the 2028 intake has not been announced.
The MEXT Undergraduate Scholarship is aimed at Pakistani high school graduates with 12 years of education who want to earn a Bachelor's degree in Japan. The Embassy of Japan runs the first screening: a written test and an interview for shortlisted candidates in Islamabad or Karachi. Applicants should in principle be willing to study in Japan in Japanese. The next call will appear on the Embassy page, so check it from April 2027.
