Theme: 'What I thought about the meaning and role of taxes', e.g. experiences in society, tax news, turning 18, or what you learned in class. Essays of 800-1,200 characters. Prizes: 12 Commissioner of the NTA Awards plus Regional Taxation Bureau and Tax Office awards; in 2025, 173,021 essays came from 1,505 schools. Copyright of entries passes to the NTA.
