The first stage of India's Mathematical Olympiad programme, run by the Mathematics Teachers' Association (India) under NBHM: a paper-based national exam whose qualifiers go to the Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO) and on towards the International Mathematical Olympiad.

IOQM is the first of five stages: IOQM, RMO, INMO, IMO Training Camp and the International Mathematical Olympiad. It is an offline OMR paper with no negative marking. Syllabus covers number theory, geometry, algebra and combinatorics at school level (no calculus or statistics). Past papers are on the HBCSE olympiad site.
