Level I is a one-hour, 50-question MCQ quiz (current affairs, history, geography, science, sports and culture, plus local and national philately; no negative marking), where each class competes only with its peers. Up to 40 students per class go to Level II, a philately project (up to 500 words, 4-5 pages, at most 16 stamps displayed). Ten students per class are awarded a scholarship of Rs 6,000 a year.
