UK Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (UKOAI) 2027
A national competition that selects the UK team for the International Olympiad in AI. Secondary students sit a free three-hour online exam on programming and deep learning, and high scorers go on to interviews and a training and selection camp.

The exam has three long-form questions testing programming and mathematical ability in deep learning. High scorers are invited to a video interview with a UKOAI mentor and then to a multi-day training and selection camp with lectures in AI, practice papers and team building. In 2026 the UK team won two gold and two bronze medals at IOAI in Astana.
