SPT has run for 12 years. Stage II is offered in Kazakh and Russian, with nine subject clusters (e.g. Mathematics–Physics, Chemistry–Biology, World History–English, Mathematics–Computer Science). An IELTS certificate does not exempt you from the English test. In 2026, 12,474 people registered and 3,313 sat the final stage.
