Puducherry's government science council enrols school students (Class VI to XII) and college students as members of the Innovation Hub at the Dr. Abdul Kalam Science Centre and Planetarium, where student innovators work on projects; annual fee ₹500 for school students.
The Innovation Hub, run by the Puducherry Council for Science and Technology in the Department of Science, Technology and Environment, invites student innovators to 'experiment about the future'. Members join hands-on project work and visits, and the council's site lists design rights (IPR) obtained by Innovation Hub members.
