Up to 82,000 fresh scholarships a year are awarded on the basis of the Class 12 board result and shared among State Education Boards by population, CBSE and ICSE shares; 50% are earmarked for girls and slots are split across Humanities, Science and Commerce in a 3:3:1 ratio. Renewal needs at least 50% marks in the annual examination and 75% attendance.
