Engineering-invention olympiads are set out in chapter 31 of Cabinet Resolution No. 562 to develop pupils' creativity, inventive and design skills. They are held separately for boys and girls, with winners named separately. Engineering directions are set by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation; tasks include tests, written work and practical work. The Centre reports 12 republican winners.
