Annual state prize for talented young men aged 14-30 with outstanding achievements in science, education, culture, the arts, sport and other fields; school and college pupils who win are admitted to a bachelor's programme on a state grant without entrance exams.
The "Mard oʻgʻlon" State Prize was established in 2017 to recognise young men who show courage, honesty and patriotism and have achieved high results in science, education, medicine, culture, literature, the arts, sport and other fields. Each year two representatives from each region receive the prize, 28 in total. The prize equals 50 times the base calculation amount. Winners who are pupils of general secondary or secondary specialised and vocational schools are admitted to a relevant bachelor's programme on a state grant without entrance exams.
