Lottery Fund Kkumsadari Excellence Scholarship 2027 (Dream and Multicultural types)

Government scholarship for low-income students from 5th grade of primary school to 3rd year of high school, nominated by their school, with monthly stipends that continue through university plus 1:1 mentoring.

Funded by the lottery fund, the Kkumsadari scholarship finds promising students from low-income families and supports them all the way to university. In 2026 it selected 2,700 Dream scholars and 300 Multicultural scholars. Selection uses school records via NEIS (minimum grades, attendance, volunteering) and an essay-style 'My Dream Challenge Plan'. Scholars also receive mentoring, festivals and career programmes.
